A Note From Mrs. Royse

We had another fantastic week!  The weeks seem to be flying by.  I can't believe we are at the end of April!  Your precious little one has almost completed their first grade year.

We were herpetologists this week.  The students loved studying the life cycle of the frog.  We wrote some awesome stories about frogs; one was a fictional story and the other a nonfiction story.  They are hanging on the student's lockers and they are precious!

Our tadpole, Blue Bell, is now a frog!  The students have enjoyed watching it go through the life cycle.  We recorded the data in a journal.  Be looking for it in their Tuesday folder.  They are very cute! We will be looking for a “forever home” for Blue Bell.  If you would like to have Blue Bell, please let me know.  I will put all the names in a box and draw out one name.

We are working hard in math learning to subtract and add numbers through 20.  Please work on this at home.  It has been a joy to see the students develop a love for reading.  It made my heart so happy on Friday listening to the students picking out books to read over the weekend.  Thank you for encouraging them to read at home.
